Corporate History and Profile

Progressive Management Group, Inc. (PMG) was formed in June of 2001 as a sub-s corporation and is wholly owned by David D. Little, NHA, CRCFA. PMG was created to manage, develop, consult and invest in senior care communities and projects. PMG has done work in assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care and independent living communities in the two Carolinas. When PMG was formed the company developed and operated six assisted/memory care communities until all were sold in 2003. The company then developed a CCRC and purchased two communities and began working on consulting with turn-around communities to a successful end. Currently after selling the CCRC in 2011, PMG operates two communities and has 5 planned projects with market studies completed that are in some stage of development. David D. Little has been in the senior living and healthcare industry for over 40 years and he and his staff have developed a “resident centered” approach to quality care in all endeavors. The belief that financial stability and success will come if you just stay focused on the residents and their care and needs is the driving force. The management company works closely with the executive director and the staff of the community in the normal day to day activities of accounting, marketing and operation support. The management company takes the day-to-day accounting and other paperwork functions off of the community executive director so that the executive director can concentrate on the staff and residents. Each department head in the community is cross trained to be able to market the community, basically work any job and spot any problems in any department before it becomes major. Our marketing director spends an average of two hours with each family to be sure we can meet their needs and that their apprehension of making a move is minimized. We get to know our residents and families on a personal level and when possible the management company staff spends time in community and participates in the community activities, cookouts, trip, etc. As a result of this approach, PMG communities regularly enjoy occupancies in the high 90% and unmatched resident satisfaction. PMG is currently preparing to open a secure daycare in one of the buildings that is operating, which is a natural complement to the memory care unit. This is just one of the innovative approaches that PMG uses to better serve our senior population and continue to offer needed services.
